Alexander Lamont is delighted to announce the launch of Editions – the Complete Works, bringing together the brand’s full collection of objects and artworks made to adorn the room. Whether lost wax bronze, rock crystal, overlay glass, lacquer or straw marquetry, Alexander Lamont’s extraordinary palette of materials brings each creation to life with sculptural and organic presence.
New to the collection are the Jardim Vessels and Jardim Candleholders, where palm fronds and fallen teak leaves from the garden meet lost-wax bronze, etching nuanced textures across bold, sensual shapes; the contemporary, lens-like forms of the Fonte de Glace vessels, which catch and transform the light in the aqueous, silvery tones of rock crystal; and the Ondas Trays, like the motion of waves captured in lost wax bronze that flows across the table top in a richly textured sculptural tray.
In the new issue of the Editions catalogue the collection is presented in five cardinal groups. Bloom brings us flowers and fruit, fields of straw, fallen leaves, and the sentient animals that come and go from the garden; Strata reveals the beauty that comes from the earth, held deep below its surface with forms in rock crystal and overlay glass, in bronze and gold.
Tide takes us to the seashore, among the lapping waves, the washed up shells, the ropes and vessels of fishermen, the creatures of the sea; while Cosmos brings us into the heavens with the spherical charm of the planets, their shadows and the trajectory of the stars; Temple invites us to worship with candleholders, vessels and trays in tranquil shapes and materials made to bring light and offerings.
